Week 3 of Term 3 is a hive of activity at QACI as our fantastic Year
11 students who are aspiring to be Student Directors for next year, illustrate their amazing
talent, creativity, and passion through various campaigning activities.
Campaign Week challenges students to step out of their comfort zone to bring awareness to the rest of the community as they make their candidacy for Student Director known. This can be perfectly portrayed
by the very cleverly made posters, speeches, and stalls highlighting why we should vote for them as Student Directors. Although for some this was a
very nerve-wracking experience, at the end of the day, everyone
supported each other and provided the necessary encouragement to the benefit of everyone.
Candidates were shown support by their peers by way of helping them to put up posters, dancing to their songs as part of a speech, visiting
their friend’s stalls to show them support and sprucing positive messages about them to others.
It
can be seen in the photos that everyone put in a massive effort and it
connected all the year levels. The crowd was full of positivity and
support for the candidates.
Campaign Week is also a week where the candidates learn a lot about themselves as well. They went into the depths of their leadership skill and reflected on how they feel about going into the
role of Student Director.
Campaign Week was certainly a great
experience for all. Year 12s feel the confidence in the handing the baton over to the next industrious leaders, Year 11s learn more about their peers and trust they will be in very good hands and the Year 10s learn more about the various leadership roles and see
new role models to aspire to.
