Welcome and welcome back to our geese for 2026!
Launching off the year with my third and final Valentine’s Day coverage article was definitely a bittersweet process, but the joy QACI brings to each event managed to harness any sadness of leaving immediately.
And in fact, it was replaced with so much joy at the thought of our newest flock members enjoying this special day!

Crowd favourite traditions included warm and fuzzy notes, left from friends (and dare I say, occasionally admirers..), alongside the classic serenades, where Justin Bieber’s “Baby” took the cake as most performed song. Additionally, this year’s festivities included face painting, a clearly loved implementation- I couldn’t go one second without seeing adorably painted hearts adorning each excited student or teacher!
Whilst sadly I couldn’t grab painted hearts, myself, friends, and many others took so many wonderful photos alongside the brightly decorated halls. Special shoutout goes to our student directors, and extra minty moment for Chi [photographer] and Bianca [face painter] for volunteering their time. They, plus many others in our flock, demonstrate such clear IB attributes every day and on these special occasions.
Finally, congratulations to those who not only felt, but spread the love further. Especially our Grade 10’s! New traditions can be difficult, but you all handled it with such QACI love and excitement.
This year certainly kicked off with a bang- or should I say, Cupid’s arrow? For the final time, Happy Valentine’s Day QACI!
