Step Right Up Dance Showcase

​​​​​​​​​​​​Welcome to Step Right Up! – the Queensland Academy Creative Industries Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 Dance production for 2026, featuring performance and composition from students.

Step Right Up! is made up of Year 10 Duet compositions, Year 11 Postmodern Groups and Year 12 Duets, with a special group work performed by Year 12s for their final show. 
Throughout this term, the students worked with Ms Oliver and Ms Collyer to explore and create movement. They were allocated the theme of a Carnival, began establishing their own working processes and styles within movement. The outcome is dance works of varying intentions, which are student driven, showing creative and critical thinking, problem solving and reflection.
