"Ideologies separate us. Dreams and anguish bring us together." — Eugène Ionesco
What happens when logic dissolves, language begins to unravel, and the ordinary becomes delightfully unfamiliar?
[even] Stranger Than Fiction is an intimate black box showcase of original performances devised by the Year 11 Theatre students as part of their exploration of Existentialism and Theatre of the Absurd. Developed through a six-week collaborative process, each work has emerged from a unique starting point, challenging students to question conventions of narrative, character and meaning.
Performed in the intimate setting of the QACI Theatre Studio, these six original works blur the boundaries between reality and imagination, inviting audiences to embrace contradiction rather than resolution. Running for approximately 75 minutes, [even] Stranger Than Fiction is an evening of inventive theatre that celebrates collaboration, curiosity and the courage to ask impossible questions.
Please note: This performance contains mature themes, theatrical haze and strobe lighting.
