ACARA Dance Workshop (Launch)

Students in Year 7, 8 and 9
ACARA Outreach Dance Workshop

As part of our Education Queensland Outreach program a limited opportunity for Year 7, 8 and 9 dance students is available to participate in an ACARA curriculum based workshop on Friday 3 May, 4pm (Term 2 Week 3). The $15 workshop includes dinner and two tickets (student and parent) to attend the Launch Dance showcase taking place on Friday 3 May, 6:30pm. There is limited availability for this workshop and bookings are essential.

Students are invited to engage in a Commercial Jazz workshop exploring key techniques and expressive skills.

Led by QACI Dance teacher and Brisbane based Choreographer, Brendan Hodder, students will gain insight into the creative process of LAUNCH to uncover how the elements of dance and production elements have been used to communicate intention. Using concepts from the performance piece, students will explore improvisational practices to foster their personal style and develop their technical proficiency within the genre of Commercial Jazz.
