Student governance

Each year the Year 12 Student Directors - Principled, Positivity, Pride, Preparedness and Persistence, Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) Director and ICT Director are voted for in Term 3 for the following year. Their responsibilities include running the assembly each week and for two of them to attend the Student Congress meeting each month.

Houses

The 3 houses represent a cultural or language group, thus reflecting our global perspective.

Èveiller house logoÈveiller (French), means Awakened

Matjiin house logoMatjiin, (Australian Aboriginal) means Create

Vivezza house logoVivezza (Italian) means Liveliness

There is always friendly and sometimes fierce rivalry among the houses and the colours are worn with pride.

We have 3 'houses' represented by 4 Year 11 house managers in each house, as well as 7 connect representatives from Year 10 for each house. They are answerable to the students, and are voted into their positions by the students, with some help from teachers.

The Student Congress is the major consultation and decision making body. The Congress is facilitated by Year 11 House Managers and meets monthly and attended by two student directors at each meeting. The Congress then reports to assembly following each meeting.

The Student Executive Board (directors) meet monthly with the Principal.
