Learning at Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) is built on a strong partnership between students, teachers, families, and the wider community.
Through flexible and future-focused teaching and learning practices, we empower highly capable learners to develop the confidence, independence, and adaptability needed to thrive in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. At QACI, students are not passive recipients of knowledge; they are active participants and empowered partners in their own learning journey.
Our learning environment is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. By encouraging student voice, agency, and reflection, we support learners to take ownership of their academic growth and personal development. This shared commitment to learning transforms good teaching into exceptional learning experiences, where students are challenged to think deeply, act ethically, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
A defining feature of the QACI experience is our strong emphasis on intercultural understanding and global-mindedness. Through the development of the ten International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profiles attributes, students learn to respect, evaluate, and appreciate diverse perspectives and experiences. They are encouraged to become knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, and compassionate young people who are prepared to contribute positively to both local and global communities.
Unlike most Queensland schools, QACI offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) as its sole curriculum pathway. This internationally recognised programme provides a rigorous and balanced education that prepares students for success at leading universities and in future careers around the world.
The IBDP challenges students academically while also developing the personal, social, and emotional skills necessary for lifelong learning and leadership.
