Student Led Conferences
Monday 15 July, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Student Led Conferences have been scheduled for all students on Monday 15 July from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
These conferences are an opportunity for parents, teachers, and students to come together to discuss the student’s ongoing academic progress, effort, and behaviour. It is also an opportunity to share individual circumstances that may better inform the teachers in differentiating student learning.
Bookings will only be available with your student’s Semester 1 subject teachers.
Teachers of newly timetabled Semester 2 subject changes will not be available for conferencing as they haven’t yet had sufficient opportunity to assess new students, collect relevant data and prepare meaningful feedback.
Face to face conferences will be held at QACI, or alternatively parents/carers may choose to engage in an online conference using the Microsoft Teams application.
Students who attend school on this day will take part in an alternative academic program to allow student and staff flexibility to accommodate the conferences.
How to Book your interviews
Bookings can be made online using the PTOnline booking system from 6:00pm Friday 14 June. Bookings will close at 9:00am Thursday 11 July. Individual teacher conference time slots are limited to 10 minutes per student. The earlier you can book, the more options you will have.
- Please access the PTOnline booking system as follows:
- Click HERE to go to the PTO booking system.
- Bookings are unable to be made before the scheduled opening time of 6pm, Friday 14 June.
- On the login page, click “Obtain PIN/Password” and enter your email address. (This must be the email address previously supplied to QACI).
- Your PIN will be emailed to you. The email you receive will include a link that will log you into PTO.
- After login and when prompted please select either:
- In Person - attend at QACI for a face-to-face conference or,
- Online - Teams Meeting for an online Teams conference
- Parents / Carers can book a 10-minute conference time with each teacher using the PTOnline booking system.
IMPORTANT: If there are multiple parents/carers who want to attend a Teams conference and intend on doing so from separate locations, please contact Trudie Bailey on tbail121@eq.edu.au before 10am on Thursday 11 July so that the meeting links can be forwarded to the parent/carer who did not make the initial booking.
Conference Process On the Day
- For face-to-face conferences, students and parents will meet with the teacher at the scheduled time onsite. Your confirmed bookings on PTO will include room numbers for your booked teacher.
- For online conferences parents/carers will need to login to the PTOnline booking system and then click on the link provided beside the teacher’s name. Please note that the link will not be available until 15 minutes prior to the scheduled conference time. Please ensure your student has a copy of the conference schedule.
- Teachers will let parents into the Teams meeting at the booked time of each conference.
- Please remember that links to conferences are via the PTOnline booking system (not your email confirmation). Parents/carers will need to login again on the day to access online conferences.
