We are especially proud to announce that Connor Bashar (Year 12) has been awarded the Next Gen Prize for his entry NFD – Not Further Defined. As winner, Connor will receive a $2000 prize, with his work displayed alongside fellow finalists in the main exhibition at the State Library of Queensland.
Our participating students had the opportunity to attend the official event at the State Library, where their works were celebrated among the best young artists across Brisbane. Out of just 15 finalist works selected from across the city, an extraordinary five came from QACI, a testament to the strength and creativity of our Visual Arts program.

This year, 15 works were recognised as finalists and exhibited in the main gallery, while a further 25 were awarded Highly Commended and displayed online. All honoured works are celebrated on the Brisbane Portrait Prize website in the dedicated Next Gen gallery.
These incredible results highlight the passion, creativity and artistic excellence of our students; qualities that are at the heart of a QACI education. Congratulations to all of our talented young artists whose work has inspired and impressed at this prestigious event.
