ANZAC Day is a special and honourable occasion to remember the history of Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. This year, to honour those who sacrificed for the freedoms we have today, QACI hosted a special ANZAC commemorative assembly. It was great to see the students dressed well and carrying themselves with the respect due to demonstrate their tribute to the ANZAC soldiers.
Throughout the assembly, we witnessed a variety of art forms, from poems to songs, highlighting the hardship and sacrifice the ANZAC soldiers endured. It was inspiring to hear the stories of the soldiers carrying out their duty with diligence, and a jovial manner, showcasing the classic Australian and New Zealand spirit of resilience in the face of danger. It was also quite inspiring to experience a tribute to the ANZACs from the cadets. Their discipline to stand in the same position throughout the assembly and perfectly execute the marches and orders was commendable, and it reflects the order and honour in service towards Australia.
The ANZAC assembly was a great opportunity to remember those who have sacrificed before us, as to teach us to be forever grateful for the great service the soldiers did for Australia.
