During the summer holidays, I had the very special opportunity provided to me by my homeland theatre company, Little Seed Theatre Company, to perform the role of the White Witch in their stage adaption of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. There was such an influx of incredibly talented young performers I was surrounded with, and being able to reconnect with where my passion and my experience with performance all began was an incredibly special opportunity. I was kitted up every day in full body paint, a glued-on wig (I still have glue in my hair), and 7-inch heels hidden under a fleece gown in the midst of summer to try and make a 5”2 child like me seem intimidating. It was a very humbling experience to be cast as the White Witch; to be the ultimate feminine evil was one of the most difficult challenges I’ve had as a performer, but I made a kid wet himself, so I’m glad I moved my audience in the way I did. The show is touring again due to the popularity in the Sunshine Coast in March- I cannot wait to relive the magic.

Watch this space! Neither can we…
