Every year QACI recognises the leadership teams throughout the Academy at the student investiture ceremony. Our community celebrates the diverse areas of knowledge students bring to the campus in order to accept the challenge and fly in V formation.
We have a range of leaders including our tech support team known as the Apple Angels. Our Media Team, the people behind the yearbook, newsletters and Instagram page (follow us @qldacademies)! There is also our Year 10 Connect Representatives, Year 11 House Managers and our Year 12 Pillars of Passion role models and the Year 12 Cohort.
At this ceremony, we also invite the 2017 IB Dux recipient from the previous year, Samantha Hammond to give us some words of wisdom as we continue our endeavours on the IB journey.
Samantha Hammond inspired all of us during her time at QACI. A former theatre student, media team representative, UN Youth Ambassador and QACI Quirks Blog writer – just to name a few – she is hard-working and dedicated and showed us all that resilience pays off.
As much as we all enjoy adding another badge to our blazers, we understand that these leadership roles take responsibility and everyone is excited to take on these roles for 2018.
