Selected from more than 2500 students, Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) would like to congratulate the following International Baccaluareate music students who have been selected to participate in Queensland’s finest young secondary school musicians seventeenth annual prestigious State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) Qld 2017 during the September school holidays.

QACI’s Year 10 representation is: Ellie Rose Darling – Bassoon, Clementine Jemmott – Saxophone Alto, William Kasper – Voice Tenor, Jessica Klaverstyn – Trumpet, Isabel Matthews – Clarinet, Bethany Osborne – Clarinet and Emily Storey – Flute.

QACI’s Year 11 representation is: Rose-Ann Breedt – Viola, India Johnson – Voice Soprano, Holly Koehn – Voice Soprano, Georgina Laird – Voice Soprano, Siobhan Turner – Clarinet and Thomas White – Voice Celtic.

QACI’s Year 12 QACI representation is: Sophia Evans – French Horn and Molly O’Connor – Voice Alto.

Running Thursday 28 September to Sunday 1 October, four days of intensive rehearsals culminate into five Grand Finale Concerts, open to the public, on Sunday October 1 in the Conservatorium Theatre at 10am, 12noon, 2pm, 4pm and 7pm; email open-conservatorium@griffith.edu.au for concert information.

SHEP Qld features four Wind Orchestras, two String Orchestras, a Celtic String Ensemble, three Vocal Ensembles, a Symphony Orchestra and Big Band; showcasing the best that Queensland has to offer.
