Over coming weeks and months we invite you to come along and engage with QACI’s past and present through various showcase opportunities, the first of which happens on Thursday 25 May with iHuman, presented by Year 10 Film students.
iHuman – a look into what it means to be me – is the first major piece shown on the big screen, the ideal marker to highlight how QACI students begin their journey as emergent film creators and visual story-tellers.
A few days later on Saturday 27 May the opening night of RECALL TEN.0 will take place in Gallery 61. An exhibition of visual arts and film, featuring works from alumni representing some of the pathways they have followed in their visual arts, design, and film journeys, the line-up also includes Year 11 works from the Deconstructed Fashion unit. John Carozza – HOD Signature Creative Identity – will officially open the exhibition which will remain open for viewing until 9 June, 2017. You can provide your RSVP to Opening Night Here.
A 2 night season of EPIC theatre will open on Thursday 1 June featuring the works of current Year 11 theatre makers. Mark this one in your diaries for a night of Political Provocations, Subversive Scenes and Artistic Agitation all presented in the seediest cabaret bar in QACI.
Later in August, RECALL TEN.0 continues with a music showcase on Friday 25 just before TRIPTYCH’s 2017 season kicks off. There’s something for everyone so watch this space for more details about our upcoming celebrations of creativity at QACI!
