PrintMAKING OUR IDENTITY

An exhibition of introductory printmaking works by Year 10, Term 4, 2017.

During term 4, Year 10 Visual Art students explored a range of printmaking techniques through the PrintMAKING OUR IDENTITY unit. Inspired by a personal symbol representing our individual identity, we developed new skills using a wide range of printmaking methods, including lino printing, etching, monoprinting, embossing, collagraph and chine collé. We then explored methods for combining our existing prints into a single piece that served to emphasise the meaning of our symbol.

The ‘PrintMAKING OUR IDENTITY‘ exhibition presents a diverse range of work, as each student has symbolised their unique identity using a range of methods including sculpture, stitching, film and concertina to display the prints.

The exhibition is on display in Gallery 61, Level 2 and will be available for viewing during school hours 8:00am – 2:00pm Monday – Friday until the end of term 4 (1 December) and during the beginning weeks of Term 1 2018.
