What is the process for applying to attend QACI?
We are a selective entry independent public school for senior high school students studying in year 10 – 12, therefore entry is not automatic or based on an enrolment catchment area.
We have a single point of entry into the program at the start of year 10. The application process is designed to be undertaken by students in Queensland in Year 9 (or age or education program equivalent) for entry at the commencement of Term 1 of Year 10. Students who choose to seek entry into QACI after completing Year 10 (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply, but must complete the full three year program.
We aim to provide an exciting opportunity for you as a Queensland Academies student. As a member of our learning community you will understand that to be successful, you need to be self-disciplined, resilient and well-rounded, focussed yet flexible. Our admissions process is designed with a high level of personalised service and integrity in order to ensure that our selected students are well prepared for these challenges.
We invite you to attend our annual Open Day (2018 date to be advised) in order to familiarise yourself with our learning environment and meet members of our team who are only too happy to support you through the Admissions process. Campus tours can also be prearranged with our Principal, Mr Gavin Bryce by calling Client Services on (07) 3552 9333.
Principal’s Discretionary Applications are accepted for consideration based on applicants who through extenuating circumstances were unable to submit prior to the 2017 application deadline. This includes opportunities for international and interstate applicants.
The next testing date for Principal’s Discretionary Applications will take place on Thursday 23 November.
