International Student Exchange Programs on offer for 2018-19

2018-19 Queensland-Quebec Student Exchange Program.

Following the success of the pilot 2017-18 Queensland/Quebec Commonwealth Games Student Exchange, DE International is delighted to announce that this fully funded program will be offered again this year to all of Queensland as the 2018-19 Queensland-Quebec Student Exchange Program.

This opportunity will allow Queensland students to immerse themselves in another language for 6-weeks and experience many facets of Quebec culture including school and family life. In Queensland, the Quebecer students will have the opportunity to attend school and learn about the Australian culture. Please refer to the attached ‘General Information Sheet’ for more information.

Selected students will be accompanied by four chaperones during the exchange. Two chaperones will accompany the students travelling to Quebec in December and the other two will assist the students in their return journey to Queensland in January.
If you are a year 10 or 11 French student interested in applying for this,

The Department of Education sponsors and administers this exchange programme whereby students from each country participate in a reciprocal long-term stay from both sides of the world. The aim is to provide an opportunity for students currently in Yr 11 of their studies to make progress in their understanding and speaking of French and appreciate the customs, culture and life in a French speaking country. Swiss students come to Australia from July to September and Queensland students stay in Switzerland from November to January. The cost is between $4000 and $4500.

Interested students are encouraged to apply for this wonderful opportunity by completing  and submitting the relevant application pack attached to this notice before 2nd March 2018.
