Academies Creative Industries (QACI) would like to invite families to
the State Library of Queensland, South Brisbane on Saturday 22 June to witness the Year 10 theatre students' perform their Living Libraries.
on the global movement of the living libraries where people, instead of
books, are checked out to create mutual understanding through the act
on their personal narratives, students will engage with the general
public to create brief moments of personal exchange as each performer
takes on the role of the living book. Audience members can come and
'borrow' a performer and audience will then take up a specific location
to begin a unique experience of performance story exchange. These
powerful, personal tales create a rich history of our community.
We invite you to attend this event and see our students share their living libraries stories throughout the corners
and pockets of the State Library of Queensland, South Brisbane.
Session times will be be repeated with the first session commencing at 10am and the second session commencing at 12.30pm.
