Congratulations William Kasper, Year 12.

William recently received the Best Actor award at the recent Tropfest Jr Short Film Awards, one of the largest short film competitions worldwide. The short film Hollow tells the story of boy with anorexia and how this affected his life and the loved ones around him. The film was selected out of hundreds of films presented as one of the 16 finalist films which aired on the 9th of February in Parramatta, Sydney.

Will received the Best Actor Award for his portrayal of the role, Max, a depressed teen with anorexia.

Will should also be commended for his current performance in Brisbane Arts Theatre’s production of Picnic at Hanging Rock, alongside fellow QACI student Aoife Kissane, playing the role of the British aristocrat, The honourable Michael Fitzhubert.

Will says "It has been amazing playing this role as the show is different to any other show I’ve been in and the role is so complicated and intricate. It’s been a huge challenge and an amazing learning opportunity."

Will should be proud of his achievements and his positive influence on our learning community.
