Congratulations to Jade Regan Feldman who was recently accepted in the Enhanced Study Program at the University of Queensland (UQ).

Jade will attend weekly lessons in Brain and Behavioural Sciences at UQ to provide her some guidance for decisions on her future studies at University.

Jade provides us with some of the details as to why she applied.

I decided to apply for the Enhanced Studies Program at UQ because it would give me an insight into University life and help me decide if I want to pursue a career in Psychology, particularly Behavioural Science research. I will be studying Semester 1 of the undergraduate course Brain and Behavioural Sciences, which is part of the Psychology degree course at UQ. I am keen to begin the studies, as Psychology at QACI helped spark my interest in a career in that field.

Having the opportunity to explore that interest at a tertiary level while still in high school is very exciting. After I have completed the program I hope to have a greater insight into what I would like to study after high school as well as having the experience of being immersed into university life. It will also count as a University credit when I am applying to study in the UK and will be of a great advantage in understanding the course and in the selection process.

We wish Jade all the very best with her University studies as she begins the path to becoming a responsible member of local, national and global communities.
