After numerous delays due to the delayed school year, COVID and floods, the annual QACI Student Investiture Assembly to acknowledge student leadership was held on 19 May. Precautions meant that only the Year 12 graduating cohort and a student's holding a formalised leadership position within the school were seated inside the theatre and the remaining students viewing via streamed services. The QACI community opened the celebrations by continuing the QACI tradition of the Year 10 Clap In. They were given a rapturous clap in, officially welcoming them to our school.
The official ceremony began, with members of the ICT, Media and Tech teams receiving acknowledgement for their contribution to the school. The 2022 House Managers, Connect Mentors and Student Director Pillar Leaders were recognised for their positions and the important role they have in leading the school. The graduating class of 2022 were also recognised for the role they play, explicitly or implicitly, in helping the younger students adapt to the life and culture within QACI.
Whilst we recognised the individuals with positions of leadership, this ceremony was a reminder to everyone in the QACI community that each one of them exhibits leadership qualities, whether it be leading self or leading others.
