This year, QACI was selected as one of ten South East QLD schools to
host a slam poetry masterclass called SlammED! As part of the 2019
Queensland Poetry Festival. The students were given the opportunity to
learn the skills of poetry in a two-hour masterclass hosted by
recognised author and slam poet, Josh Donellan.

short period of time and performing their work in a heat during school

The judging consisted of three
students and two teachers. The audience cheered and clapped in support.
When the results were shouted out, the audience cheered and booed, in
agreement or in opposition.
In the end, when the scores were announced, it was revealed that the top 2 students who will represent QACI are …
