Occupied Frequency
Welcome to the new weird.
Devised by the Year 10 Theatre students in collaboration with award-winning Theatre-maker and Director, Lucas Stibbard, Occupied Frequency follows the story of a group of young people struggling to survive in a city, torn apart by civil conflict. Their world is turned upside down one day after their school is demolished in a recent attack by the “Red Caps”, and they must demonstrate creativity and resilience as they attempt to adapt to their new normal.
Set to a stunning soundtrack from the local pirate radio station, the production features moments of engaging physicality, live projection and a chorus of young people, giving rise to a voice otherwise drowned out by the constant underscore of civil unrest.
