QACI welcomed Rachel Fry this term working in the role of Student Services, location - QACI Central. Rachel has a myriad of experience and expertise that she brings to the role including previous work as a Teacher Aide, Bookshop Owner, Librarian, Artistic Director and other business adventures within the Arts Industry.
Rachel is a passionate artistic creative and we took the time
to ask her a few personal questions so that we could learn more, and introduce her to
our valued QACI community.
What do you like about your current role?
I’m loving that I am meeting so many students and really getting to know them in my daily interactions with them. I love being a part of this community, everyone has made me feel so welcome - it’s a lot of fun!
Can
you give a summary about something you are passionate about and why?
So
many things! My top passions are literature, music, nature and travel. I
read a lot, I write a lot, and I love to stay curious about the world around
me.
I’m currently working on writing and illustrating two children’s
books. I deeply value the arts and anyone putting their heart and soul
into their practice. I believe artists and creatives are the true leaders, always ahead of their
times, moving culture and society forward.
What has been your QACI Highlight so far?
I
love the energy of the community at QACI. I’ve been attending the
school events and loving the passion, creativity and calibre of the work being
produced. The kids are alright! 😊 The future is bright in their hands.
I
do also love it when they are singing or playing music on Level 2. Keep
that coming!
