Girl Shaped Flames, Future Change Makers

Every teenage girl has a fire in her belly, particularly at QACI.  We have a school full of girls who want to be the future change makers of the world. This is what Tanya Meesmann, the CEO of Girl Shaped Flames (GSF) focused her business on.

GSF is a young organisation born in Brisbane, with the focus of inspiring and connecting teenage girls by introducing them to empowered women in every industry and profession. This comes in many forms, whole day events, monthly meetups, company visits and even a camp later this year in July addressing courage.

I have been lucky enough to be involved with Girl Shaped Flames for about a year now. Another Year 12 student and I were sponsored to join a Science event where we were able to ask questions and discuss with scientists from all types of fields. From there, I joined the 2019 program and became a girl shaped flame. I had free access to a monthly meetup, and access to other events throughout the year to continue extending myself.

As a proud Girl Shaped Flame, I encourage all QACI students to take the opportunity and grow their confidence. Tanya has been very kind and given me a code so that any QACI student can get $50 dollars off their 2019 signup when they use ‘WEN883’ as a discount code.
