On Friday the 26th of April, Year 11 theatre students participated in a QACI tradition known as “East Meets West Theatre Fest”.

The assignment required students to research an Eastern style
of theatre, then choose either an Elizabethan, Jacobean, or Ancient
Greek play and perform it their chosen Eastern style.
The purpose of the
task, to expose students to another culture’s
style of theatre.
Many students described the task as challenging but
rewarding. It has taught students to be more independent,
as they had to self-learn the practical aspects of the Eastern styles.
performances took place on campus and were open for public viewing,
allowing friends, family and the general public to see the students
work. In the end, it was a celebration within the cohort, completing
their first public performance of the year.
