As QACI celebrates some of our student success stories, today we shine a spotlight on Aarya who attained an International Baccalaureate score of 44 (ATAR equivalent 99.75).
Throughout 2021, Aarya led peers as Student Director for Positivity. Aarya was recognised for his outstanding innovation, vision, creativity and enterprise, receiving the QACI Creative Innovation Vision Award (CIVA), as well as Artistic Excellence, Academic Excellence and AMPOL Best All Rounder awards in 2021. Aarya achieved subject firsts in Mathematics Analysis and Approaches HL and Music HL. Aarya has been offered a place in a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Queensland. He also holds aspirations to pursue a Bachelor of Mathematics.
A maximum score of 45 can be achieved in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Students study six subjects with a maximum score of 7. They must also complete all three components of the inner core - Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) with 3 bonus points attributed via an intersecting grade matrix for TOK and EE*.
