Big Day In Visual Arts Exhibition Gallery 61

Year 11 and Year 12 Visual Arts students participated in the annual Visual Arts Big Day In yesterday.  Practising Artists engage with QACI for a full day of intensive hands-on workshops with the students. This year artists’ Anita Hochman, known for her exploration and works on landscape, recently exhibited her artworks in Gallery 61; Damien Kamholz, a visual artists known for his works involving the layering of drawing and painting techniques to explore the stories within the stories; Dave Machen, a regular and very much appreciated painter and sculptor quite often seen on the QACI floors; Caselle Mountford, a site specific environmental sculptor engaging the students in tactile weaving techniques and Sam Eyles, an artist who primarily produces paintings and drawings conducted via mark making methods facilitated the workshops that have ultimately led to the installation of the 2019 Big Day In Visual Arts Exhibition.

This exhibition is open Monday to Friday 09.00 – 4.00pm in Gallery 61 until Wednesday 20 March.
