QUTThe Queensland Academy for Creative Industries benefits from a unique partnership between Education Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), in particular the dynamic and world-leading Creative Industries Faculty.

In this partnership, QUT will benefit from an association with the state's most talented and high performing students.

Our students will gain from an early measured introduction to tertiary life that will better prepare them for the university experience.

QUT/Academy Partnership Benefits

As part of the Queensland University of Technology’s educational precinct, the Academy for Creative Industries continues to forge a meaningful relationship with the university to provide key opportunities for students. Arrangements regarding the START QUT program have been negotiated to enabling students to successfully complete only one tertiary subject and have access to an extensive range of guaranteed entry degree programs. A number of Advanced Standing Arrangements specifically addressing the Creative Industries Faculty at QUT have been established and we are continuing to expand on these arrangements across the university faculties.

In addition, all QACI students have associate membership of QUT libraries. This means our students can access a richer range of research and study materials to enhance their study of the International Baccalaureate. Students can access QUT libraries seven days per week and have access options after school and during flexible study time. QACI staff regularly liaise with colleagues at QUT with the view to developing curricular alignment and synergies within their programs.

In this partnership, QUT will benefit from the articulated route for the state's most talented and high performing students. Our students will gain from an early measured introduction to tertiary life that will better prepare them for what many young people consider to be the culture shock of the first year university experience.

University of Queensland and Griffith University Partnerships

We have been fortunate to have the opportunity to begin to expand and build upon our relationships with both the University of Queensland and Griffith University in 2010.  New opportunities and exciting arrangements with these universities are currently in progress. On the agenda are the opportunity for increased experiences on university campuses, increased recognition and value of the rigor of the IB program, and early entry programs. QACI looks forward to further developing these partnerships and exploring the opportunities for students.
